Hello, 50 cm should not give any problems but, if I remember correctly, 2 meters is about the maximum length. For longer lengths an I2C Bus Expander is needed but I have no experience with the Expander. Another thought about the IIC Error: If you connected both DS1621Â’s on the IIC bus and both DS1621Â’s have the same address then you could get an IIC ERROR message or corrupt data. Both DS1621Â’s need there own unique address, look thru the data sheet to see which pins to use to adjust the address. Greetings, H.J. Windt
