Thanks TomTom The card is indeed ordernumber M3248 I have now email contact with Avisaro and they wrote also I assume there is a problem with the signal level of the serial connection. Are you aware of the 'level shifter' used with RS232 connections ? I assume you are using a level shifter (= +- 12 V). The Avisaro Modul is using TTL level (0 V / 5 V). there are several versions of the C-Control .. what is the Conrad Order Number of the one you have ? From the picture you are showing, you would need to connect the Avisaro Memory Module to the TXD Port / Pin52. Is this Pin 52 external or internal to the CControl you have ? But what now what to do Hans > > > Hello Hans! > > What kind of "CF card / Avisaro" is it? Is it Ordernumber: M3248? Did you realize, that it is driven with 3.3 Volt? That means, "RS232"-Level is also 3.3 Volt! > You wrote: Now the data is coming direct from the C-control M-Unit 2.0 PIN 52 instead of the IC RS232 and that works" It is a miracle, that the Avisario survived the mistreatment of sending +/-12 Volt into its logic of 0 / +3.3 Volt! > I guess you need a level shifter to connect 5 Volt logic to 3.3 Volt logic... > Also keep in mind, that a MAX232 not only shifts the Level (0...5 Volt to +12...-12 Volt) but also inverts the signal. That means: an idling Tx-pin has a level of +5 V (with 5 Volt logic), after the MAX2332 the idling level is -12 Volt! > > regards Tomtom |
